Refund Policy

Pre-launch placeholder. This document has not yet been reviewed by counsel and is published so the user-facing flow exists end-to-end. The final version, signed off before public launch, will replace this text. Do not rely on it as a binding legal document yet.

We want you to find smartordercapture worth what you pay for it. This page explains when we refund, when we don't, and how to ask for one. It applies to all paid subscriptions purchased directly through smartordercapture.com.

14-day no-questions-asked window

If you cancel within 14 days of your first paid subscription charge — for any reason, or no reason — we will refund that charge in full. Just email billing@smartordercapture.com from your account email. We process refunds within 3 business days.

After the 14-day window

Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. After day 14:

  • You can cancel at any time in Settings → Billing.
  • Cancellation stops future charges; access continues to the end of the current paid period.
  • We do not pro-rate partial months by default.

Goodwill refunds

Outside the 14-day window we will still consider a refund if:

  • You were billed after deleting your account, or for a plan you didn't intend to subscribe to.
  • You suffered a service outage of more than 4 hours in a single billing month (we'll proactively credit in that case).
  • You were charged due to a confirmed unauthorized access to your account, and we agree it was not caused by your password reuse.

These are decided case-by-case. We'll get back to you within 5 business days.

Chargebacks

Please email us before disputing a charge with your card issuer — chargebacks cost us money even when we'd have refunded the charge directly. If you initiate a chargeback without contacting us first, we may suspend the account while the dispute is open.

Marketplace purchases

Paid marketplace templates carry a 7-day satisfaction refund period. Refunds for marketplace purchases are netted against the creator's payout balance.

How to request a refund

Email billing@smartordercapture.com from your account email. Include the charge date, amount, and the reason. Refunds are returned to the original payment method (typically 5–10 business days for cards).
